I think I can do much more in this format....We will see how it works.

Happy Birthday:
To Peggy, Criss, Lyle, Warren and John.....Jeff J. and Kris J. too.....I probably missed someone, not intentional. I shall apologize in advance....

Some of you know that my little brother, Randy bought the Ol' Clark Victorian mansion a year or so ago. (Near the old Kozy Korner motel area)......Well, he is a HUGE Halloween nut....big fan of the movie Psycho, too.....He is retired from the North Dakota oil fields and now works part time driving a school bus....(think Ralph Cramden)......anyway, he lit up the old Munsters, eh Clark place (1313 Mockingbird Lane).....and attracted 127 Glidden Trick or Treaters.....great fun for the big kid and the Little Wildcats.

Thanks for the kind words on my sister, Donna's passing.
Tough times, but everyone of us have or will be going through the sadness and loss....Spouses, siblings, parents, friends.....it is just tough...Donna was a real Glidden Wildcat.....Class of 64.....cheerleader at GHS and Buena Vista....married a Carroll guy. (Bruce Stevens, who played football for my brother, Bill)...The class with Doyle Douglas and Joel Shaner....we were in 8th grade when they were seniors......Donna leaves a great family behind....2 school teachers and her son is a banker.....Tryons are down to 3 left...and I am the oldest......just sad.....we miss all of the laughter. Photo below is Donna with the award winning dancer and tennis guru.....Paul Stougard.....they lived near each other in Mesa, Arizona during the winter months. Everyone likes the Stougards.......

Hope You Had A Great Thanksgiving!!
I sure did......family, football and food and food and food....Wow....
We had TWO boyfriends show up with the grand girls.....UGH.....they did not say a word....(I should have hidden the shot gun I guess).....my youngest is a junior and the oldest is a freshman at UNI.....Gosh, they were SO Little......not that long ago.....and my daughter just celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary.....You kidding me?
.
New Eating Place To Open In Glidden!!
Victor, our friend who owns Las Margaritas in Glidden is getting ready to open The Old Bank in downtown Glidden...Located on the very corner at the end of main street....Where we U-turned to head back up North.......It will feature American food, not Mexican.....it opens any day now.....and my brother and I might be the first to check it out....It could be our next hosting place for Wildcat Lunch.....probably around Lila;s birthday in April......
The Thrilling Days Of Yesteryear......
I love unique, old time photos.....maybe that is why I taught US History for almost 40 years....here are a few that some of you may enjoy.....love the memories....smiles for us old timers....kids have no clue about hardly any of this now a days.......times change, I guess.

Time For Quiz-O-Rama!!
Played by Tryons every Thanksgivng, Easter and Christmas......and sometimes, Saturday nights.....We would form a rather large circle. Someone what ask a question and the first to yell out the answer got a point....if the question was too hard, you lost a point.....Lots of arguing....eventually you could only answer once....but could tell spouse/son/daughter if they had not guessed.....too many shouts, you lost a point....All ages that wanted to, played.....My Dad was ACES on Iowa rivers.....What river runs thru Cherokee.....Huh?.....
CLICK HERE TO PLAY  .....if you got the guts.....12 questions, some easy some very tuff......
